Sometimes, just sometimes, one has to expose heresy with a degree of humour…if for no other reason than to avoid a self-induced head-to-keyboard injury.
I’ve already reviewed one message from the Presence Conference in Sydney and have already seen enough to convince me that no one should attend this conference unless as a rescue mission to evangelize the lost that can only become more lost than they were before by believing anything that’s taught here. But we are building a case and making an argument and, keeping that goal in mind, there can never be too much evidence.

The Narrowing Path 
When she said, “just pick up the good vibes” I had to make it all stop. I disagree with the author that she makes Steven Furtick seem like a “breath of fresh air, but am in total agreement that these folks need our prayers. I don’t mean to be nit picky, but SF is like fingenails on the chalkboard to me.

I posted this on the site where the article comes from. I’m pasting it in here because it is early history and it’s still relevant,accordng to one other Aussie poster over there:

forget about the likes of ******** – he could be ‘one of them’ in disguise. I’ve posted a number of times on the C3CW blog site and PP’s acolytes and devotees show up sooner or later, under various masks and pen names, often detracting from the main thrust or topic.
I can tell you a bit about the early days of one of PP’s off shoots (which may interest any Australian readers too). I was on a work related study course in north Sydney, and was boarding with some of the single men from the C3 Hornsby church. Things went along just fine for a month or so as I often went home to Newcastle for weekends, but occasionally stayed and went to the C3 midweeks and Sunday mornings.
One day, news about a young unmarried couple who had been living together was exposed to almost the entire congregation. We were told (reliably) that when this young couple (who had only been with the church for a short while,) went to the local pastor (Chester Reeves) for ‘counseling’, they were told by him that there was no rush (no need?) to get married right away, and that they should continue living together – until when?
I am no Pharisee nor am I a prude – young converts who come to Christ from all sorts of backgrounds may take time to sort out their relationships, priorities etc., and I can accept that. What I cannot accept to this day (this was back in 1986) is the fact that a “man of God” told two young converts that it was OK for them to continue to live in sin, and call that advice, counseling!
Apparently a lot of the people who became C3 “ministries” later on, were all basically old school mates of PP and CR just happened to be one of those. When the guys at the boarding house realised that I and a friend of mine (who had originally introduced me to them,) had discovered this, and were making our doubts and disapproval public, they got really angry with us, shouted at us, and told me to pack up and leave.
I hadn’t quite finished the training course, but my friend Greg, was happy to offer me a spare room at his place until the middle of the year. Thank God we found out about C3 and its ungodly advice and methods of operation at an early stage. If that was how they were operating back in 1986, I shudder to think what kind of ‘advice’ is being given out to folks there today in 2013!?
