Lord, create in me a pure heart,
a conscience that is clear
a mind confident in You
not one, full of doubt or fear.

Let me not succumb,
to my own selfishness
so I may come to You
with a clean consciousness.

Lord, give me eyes to see,
ears so that I may hear
the Holy Spirit showing me
whenever temptation nears.

Help me to live honestly,
not breaking Your moral laws
let my ethics be principled
not full of worldly flaws.

Lord, whenever I backslide,
may I repent and confess
so on my very soul
a pure heart You can impress!
