I love the Lord,
but, I hate the sin
that keeps me from
getting closer to Him.

It’s not the sin,
that’ll be cast into hell
but, it’s where the sinner
for eternity will dwell.

I love the Lord,
and other people too
it is the sin I hate
the evil that we do.

Without His grace,
we’d stand condemned
before God throne . . .
our sins we can’t defend.

I despise my sin,
I loathe the evilness
I pray all will turn . . .
from sin’s wickedness!
