From Tricia Tillin of Banner Ministries, below is a link to an excellent online series of articles addressing the history and core teachings of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) charismatic movement. As Tricia points out, many of the more extreme teachings are held to by prominent NAR leaders and teachers, but often this fact is played down or even hidden by more mainstream heretical movements like Hillsong who regularly have NAR superstars like Bill Johnson at their conferences. It is is essential to understand the doctrines behind this heretical and spiritually dangerous movement, and in particular to be familiar with the significant changes in definitions of of common, biblical sounding terms that the NAR makes, a tactic of all ‘Christian’ cults.
I appreciate Tricia’s many years of service to the body Of Christ in exposing false teaching and warning the flock in love and with tears. Tricia is quick to acknowledge where she is not sure about things, and is therefore only sharing her thoughts about potential future outcomes of this movement. She is not proposing absurd endtimes scenarios, but rather is expressing the culmination of many years of research and observation of the church and raising the alarm at what she is seeing. I have definitely seen much of what she is talking about in more recent times, often well hidden behind high-end ‘conferences’ with big name speakers like Bill Johnson.
